How do I wash my TLBC bra?

We highly recommend hand washing our bras in cold water with delicate detergent. If you must wash in the machine, please use a plastic bra ball or bra cage that will protect the underwire and shape of the bra. To dry, gently press water out of the padded cups and then lay flat on a towel to dry. For more tips on bra care, please read our care instructions and watch our video on How to Wash Your Bra here

What is the life span of a TLBC bra?

The life span of a bra depends on how many bras you have in rotation, and how you care for your bras. We recommend washing your bra after 2 to 3 wears. Bras can last 6-9 months, and often longer with proper care. Please read our care instructions and watch our video on How to Wash Your Bra here.

How does The Little Bra Company® fit compared to other brands?

Our scale is based on a petite body type, so our proportion is made to fit a smaller figure better. Our bras also fit taller women! Our fit is especially designed for smaller band and cups sizes. We have more than 15 sizes to give the smaller-framed woman a more customized fit.

I have asymmetrical breasts, what should I do?

It’s normal to have one breast larger than the other. This is why we offer several styles with removable padding. You can create symmetry by removing the additional padding in the cup for the larger breast and tightening the straps on the side with the smaller breast.

I used the Fit Calculator but I am still unsure of what size I should purchase. What should I do?

We understand bra fitting, especially virtually, can be a little frustrating. Therefore, we advise trying us on in the size recommended when using our fit calculator. However, if you are able to do so, we suggest also purchasing your sister size (see TLBC sister size chart) in order to give you some options when trying our bras for the first time. Then, keep what works and return the rest.

How should a bra fit?

The band should fit snug on the last (loosest) hook-and-eye. If you can’t feel the bra on you, the bra is likely too big. The bra should feel like an embrace around your body. The bra band should be parallel to your waistline. If your band is riding up, you may need to go down a band size and make sure you adjust the straps.

What does close-set and wide-set mean?

At The Little Bra Company®, we categorize our bras into two different styles: wider-set and closer-set. If your breasts are closer together and less than two fingers apart, you would be considered closer-set in our bras. If your breasts gravitate to your sides and three fingers or more separate them from each other, you would look best in our wider-set styles. We do have customers that fit both wide-set and close-set styles.

The bra I received is perfect in the band, but the cups are too small, what size should I exchange it for?

We suggest keeping the same band size and going up in the cup. For example, if you purchased a 34A try a 34B instead.

The bra I received is too small in the band, but the cups fit perfectly, what size should I exchange it for?

We suggest going down in the cup size and going up in the band. For example, if you purchased a 30B try a 32A instead. A 30B and 32A both have the same cup volume just a different band size this is called sister sizing.

Why is my bra gapping?

There are a few reasons you may experience gapping:

(1) You may be wearing the wrong bra style. For example, if you are wide-set (you have more breast tissue near your underarms), you may want to try one of our wider-set bras. A closer-set bra may be too narrow for your body type, and therefore, the cups are not supporting you in the right place.

(2) You are wearing the wrong cup size. The cup you are wearing may be too big. Therefore, go down a cup size.

(3) You may need to "Do the Scoop"! Scoop all of your breast tissue from under your arms and forward to fill out the bra cup. Adjust the bra straps to keep the breast tissue in place.

What is TLBC’s padding scale and how does it work?

The Little Bra Company® uses a padding scale of 0 to 5. Five being the most padded giving maximum push-up and zero being unlined with no padding. You may view our padding scale on the product pages of each style. Each level of padding gives you a graduated lift providing the perfect natural contour.

Are the cups on size 32A the same as 34A?

No. This is what we call a cup size myth. It’s common to think that a 32A bra and a 34A bra have the same cup size, but in fact, they don’t. Yes, they both identify as an A-cup bra, but if you put these A-cup bras side by side, you will notice that they do not look the same. The cup on the 32A is actually smaller than the cup on the 34A bra.
