How to care for your bra.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR BRA AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU FOR LONGER.

Adjust

Adjust the shoulder straps—tight enough to keep your breasts in place and supported, but not so tight that there is pressure on your shoulders. You should be able to put two fingers underneath the strap. The longer you wear your bra, the elasticity will eventually loosen, so make sure you adjust your straps regularly to get the best fit. This is the same with the back band, so when you first buy a bra, you should have it fit on the last or loosest hook. That way, you can move to the tighter hooks when it loosens.

Rotate

One of the ways to make your bras last longer is to have a few in rotation. According to the author of “The Bra Zone,” Elisabeth Dale, “Switch up your bras every couple of days, trying to even out wear and tear on them. An easy way to keep track of how many times you’ve worn one bra is to keep a few pair of matching panties stored nearby, or even inside their cups. Once you are out of assigned knickers, you know it’s time to launder that bra.”

Organize

Especially with molded or padded cup bras, you should stack the bras one behind the other in a drawer or fabric-lined gift box to keep their shape. Be careful not to crush them by stuffing too many too tightly in your drawer. Make sure you clasp the hooks so they don’t snag the fabric or lace, and tuck the straps inside the cups.

Wash

We highly recommend hand washing your bras in cold water with delicate detergent. If you must wash in the machine, please use a plastic bra ball or bra cage that will protect the underwire and shape of the bra. To dry, gently press the water out of the padded cups and then lay flat on a towel to dry.
