Sizing Tips

Step one

Take your padded bra off. (No cheating!) With the measuring tape, measure around the top of your rib cage under your breasts. Write this number down and add 4. Round up to the nearest even number. For example, 27 (Your measurement) + 4 = 31. You are a 32.

Step two

Now, measure around the fullest part of your breasts (not too tight, not too loose). Make sure the measuring tape is level in the back. Write this number down.

Step three

Do the math! (It’s easy, I promise!) Subtract Step Two from Step One. For example: 32 (Step One) – 30 (Step Two) = 2. That’s a B cup. Find your cup size on this chart:

Difference Cup Size
1/2 –1 inch A
1-2 inches B
2-3 inches C

If you get a negative number, please don’t panic! It just means you are between a AA and an A-cup. For customers with this cup size, we recommend trying on “Angela,” “Elizabeth,” “Isis,” or “Yvonne" in an A-cup.

Step four

Now, you’ve got your size, but don’t stop there! Use this as a guide, and try on the bras. When trying on The Little Bra Company™ bras, please remember that they are designed especially for the petite body type, but every body is still unique and may differ slightly in shape. We’ve taken this into consideration, and created a collection of bras to fit a variety of silhouettes, and to meet different wardrobe needs. Therefore, not every bra style will fit or flatter you the same. Check our fit tips on each style page to find more details on which style will work best for you.

While most bra companies scale down based on a larger average body type, The Little Bra Company®, scales based on a petite body type. "The Little Bra" refers to both the fit and bust size. TLBC's bras are designed and cut on a smaller scale. Just like a petite pant fits a petite woman's body better, TLBC's bras fit the same way. (Note: The petite customer in the intimate apparel world is not necessarily just 5'4" and under. We have taller customers who happen to have a smaller rib cage and/or bust frame who fit our smaller bras better as well.) Therefore, when sizing yourself, please round up for a more perfect fit. Therefore, we recommend sizing up from your current department store brand size. For example, if you usually wear a 30 in a generic brand, you may want to try a 32 in a TLBC bra. And remember, although there are other push-up bras on the market, TLBC bras are designed to fit a smaller body type giving you a better fitting and more natural-looking curve...without giving up any prettiness. And, don’t forget to “scoop” for cleavage!

Sizing Tips

Another helpful tip - Sister Sizes: If the band doesn’t fit, but the cups do, take a look at this chart below. Believe it or not, the cups are the same in some differing band sizes!

Sister Bra Size Chart
28 30 32 34 36 38
28B = 30A
28C = 30B = 32A
  = 30C = 32B = 34A
32C = 34B = 36A
            34C = 36B = 38A

Therefore, if you try on a 34B, for example, and the back is too loose but the cups fit well, try going down a back size and up a cup to 32C.
