Summer is passing fast and the TLBC Team is savoring every sunny day and magical night!
For the next couple of weeks the TLBC team will be posting some of our Summer Staples!
First up.... our wonderful sales rep Lynnet!
Summertime means fun in the sun, melting ice cream on your fingers, barbecue filled afternoons, perfect beach days, and best of all summer fashion! As the peak of summer hits us, we wanted to take a closer look at summer fashion and lingerie. It is the season filled with light and comfortable dresses, cutoff shorts, bright colored accents, silk tops, floral patterns, and, a TLBC favorite, flirty summer lingerie!
As the sun shines bright, girls find themselves showing a little more skin to soak up every ray. With flirty outfits on the agenda it is also increasingly common for girls to wear something that shows their bra. While bandeaus and bralettes are in, petite women may find that they still want to have lift and shape while showing their bra!
Fear not petite ladies! There are classy, fun, and fashionable ways to wear these bra showing looks, even while wearing your favorite TLBC style! Below is a link to a video made by one of our very own TLBC Interns showing some great summer outfits featuring looks that show a little of your 'little' bra!

Do you want to show off your décolletage but are afraid of looking too sexy? Well, we have a few tips that are sure to flatter your small frame, while still looking ladyike. Glee star, Lea Michele, is a pro when it comes to showing off her petite breasts in a classy manner.
Balance Out Skin with Fabric
Try wearing a dress with long sleeves or a longer hemline to balance skin vs. dress ratio. This is an important thing to keep in mind with an ultra-sexy neckline. Doing so indicates the focus is on showing off one part of the body, not everything.
Add a Feminine Touch
Embellishments like a pop of color, lace lining, or sequins are a super fab way to keep the attention primarily on the garment, and not the “girls.” You can also try accessorizing with a belt or chunky necklace too. These are ways to add a sweet, more modest slant to this otherwise sexy look.
The Little Bra Company
Deep plunging necklines were made for small breasts! Women with petite busts can wear lower cut tops without having to worry about showing too much. Still, the point of these dresses is to show off a little and that is where The Little Bra Company can help you show off just the right amount. The key to looking good in a deep-plunge neckline is to have shape and cleavage where the focus is. The Little Bra Company’s small bras were made especially for smaller-chested women and women with petite frames. Therefore, the fit of The Little Bra Company’s bras, and their strategically-placed contoured push-up padding gives wearers a natural-looking curve and oomph in all the right places. Try The Little Bra Company’s “Lucia” and “Angela” bras for those deep-V outfits. To purchase “Lucia” or “Angela,”or any of our other small bras, please visit: http://www.thelittlebracompany.com/
Use Fashion Tape if Necessary
The best general rule of thumb is that you never, ever want to feel like you could have a wardrobe malfunction at any moment. Therefore, give yourself the comfort of keeping the dress in place by applying fashion tape before you leave the house.
So next time you want to show off your cleavage, think about Lea Michele; it’s not the amount you present, it’s how your presentation enhances your overall look.
In 2008, archaeologists from Europe discovered 600-year-old undergarments. Further research, testing, and carbon dating were required to ensure the assorted lingerie was legit, and as of a couple days ago, these tests were completed. Historians documented early examples of bras back to the 1800s. However, Austrian archaeologists at the University of Innsbruck said Wednesday that these particular brassieres date back to the 1400s! That makes their use much earlier than previously thought!
“We didn’t believe it ourselves,” Beatrix Nutz, the archaeologist responsible for the discovery, told The Associated Press. “From what we knew, there was no such thing as bra-like garments in the 15th century.”
The four linen bras were discovered in an Austrian castle. Some of these pieces look almost exactly like modern-day bras. Researchers now say they have early undergarments supporting the claim that the modern-day bra may actually have its roots in the Middle Ages.
The four bras were decorated with a frilly lace. Hooray for these medieval maidens for supporting their breasts by wearing a bra, and looking good while doing it!
In spirit of the 2012 London Olympic Games, The Little Bra Company would like to honor and appreciate some of the hottest petite women in all different types of sports!
Danica Patrick (Height: 5’2”)
This sexy race car driver doesn't need size to conquer her field. Patrick, known as the face model for Go Daddy, is just as skilled on the track as she is off. Her work in the 2008 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and FHM has garnered consistent attention.
Alicia Sacramone (Height: 5’1”)
This American began her artistic gymnastic career at the tender age of 8. What she didn't predict was that she would finish growing when she reached the height of an 8-year-old boy. Alicia has ten gymnastics world championship gold medals. Sacramone clearly never let her doubters stand in her way.
Kelly Kelly (Height 5’4”)
Working for WWE on its Raw brand, this professional wrestler and diva has made quite the career for herself. A Divas champion in her rookie year, Kelly Kelly has also found a niche in modeling. She has appeared in FHM Online and was once ranked No. 82 on Maxim's Hot 100.
Heather Mitts (Height: 5’4.5”)
Currently a defender in the Women's Professional Soccer (WPS) league, Mitts is often placed in the upper echelon of sexy female athletes. A two-time Olympic gold medalist and a member of the United States women's national team, she has always been used to pressure, considering her years at the University of Florida. Pressure from fans to pose more may also be in high demand.
Elena Reid (Height: 5’2”)

All athletes deserve the best support when it comes to sports bras, even if you wear a smaller bra size. If you are a petite athlete, and want a petite sports bra that won’t give you a “strapped down” look, your search is over! The Little Bra Company would love to recommend our very first petite sports bra, Elizabeth! Elizabeth is a specially engineered sports bra with light padding and structured seaming. She will support and give your breasts a shapelier silhouette, leaving you feeling sexy while you’re working it out! Elizabeth is a great small bra for petite women during their pregnancy, or just anytime you want to wear a wireless bra. There are no wires, clasps or adjustors on Elizabeth; she is a pull-over little bra.
The Elizabeth petite sports bra is available in all 15 of our specialty small bra sizes!
One thing all of these petite athletes have in common is that no matter what their height is, they are confident and always stand tall. The Little Bra Company offers intimate apparel that will enhance and give shape to women with a smaller frame. Be a proud petite because “good things do come in small packages!”®
With or without that extra “oomph,” we find that smaller-busted and petite woman are sexy and feminine! After all, having self-confidence and making the most of what you’ve got is what makes them most beautiful. That’s why The Little Bra Company made a list of 5 reasons why you should LOVE your small breasts!
#1: There are a lot more fashionable options out there that fit women with smaller breasts. For example, you can wear something really low-cut without revealing too much. However, if there is ever an outfit that you can’t quite fill out properly, you’ve always got The Little Bra Company here to help!
#2: Smaller breasts stay perkier for longer. Women with larger breasts tend to sag sooner due to that darned thing called gravity. When I was a teenager, I longed for my breasts to grow into the C and D cup bras many of my friends were already wearing. However, my good friend’s mother reassured. She told me that when we got older, the girls I envied would be the ones who wished they had my smaller breasts because theirs would have already gone downhill. It’s true, mothers are always right!
#3: Exercise is a lot easier for women with smaller breasts, especially if you have a good looking supportive bra like The Little Bra Company’s “Elizabeth” bra. Without larger breasts in the way of sprints and chatarangas, there’s really no excuse why we shouldn’t get active.
#4: The Little Bra Company! Made just for smaller-proportioned women, The Little Bra Company has developed an entire intimate apparel wardrobe that is stylish, functional, and comfortable. If you are a size:
28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38 A
28, 30, 32, 34, 36 B
28, 30, 32, 34 C
…it’s your’ lucky day! We’ve got all kinds of bra styles you’ll be sure to love!
#5: You have less risk for back problems. Some women suffer severe pain, deteriorating posture, and are at risk for spinal deformity and other repetitive stress injuries to the shoulders and upper extremities due to their proportionately large breasts. Although you have less risk for back problems, keep your breasts healthy with monthly breast self-exams. It’s easy! Here’s a link on how-to for your convenience: http://www.webmd.com/breast-cancer/guide/breast-self-exam
Big or small, breasts are awesome! No matter what size you are, your breasts are an important part of your body, mind and spirit. Therefore, keep them perky and dressed with the right-fitting bra.
We understand that all these different bra styles can be a bit overwhelming to choose from. There are full-cups, demi-cups, bustiers , halternecks, multiways, push-up bras, wireless bras, and strapless bras. You may be asking yourself “why do bras have to come in so many different shapes?” Well the answer is simple: certain bra styles go best with different outfits. Not only do certain bra styles cater specifically to different sizes and shapes, they are also important when it comes to low or high necklines.
And since it helps to have an idea of which bras are most appropriate for different neckline styles, The Little Bra Company wrote a little something to help show women with petite frames which of our small bras go best with your outfits.
