  • Rose O'Donnell is a New Woman!

Did you know that 75-80% of women wear the wrong bra size? Because of things like weight gain, or loss, exercise, and pregnancy, women’s bodies, as well as their breasts, are always changing.
On her new talk show, Rosie O’Donnell informed us that she had been wearing the wrong bra size her whole life. After a bra fitting, set up by her good friend Oprah, Rosie rejoiced “I feel like a new woman!”

Rosie O’Donnell’s revelation reminds us the importance of a properly fitted bra. If you feel like you might not be wearing the correct bra size, visit your local lingerie shop for a fitting.

Once you’ve purchased a bra that is the right size for you, make sure you are wearing it properly.
The Little Bra Company shows you how to get the perfect amount of support and push-up with the “Scoop Method” (http://www.thelittlebracompany.com/fit-tips/):

    1) Put The Little Bra on. Lean down and allow your breasts to fall naturally into the bra cups.
    2) While leaning over, take your left hand to hold the bra in place, where the back wing meets the underwire. Now use your right hand to scoop your “little goods” to the center of the little bra. Repeat step with the right cup.
    3) Adjust shoulder straps tight enough to keep your breasts in place and supported, but not so tight that there is pressure on your shoulders. You should be able to put two fingers between the straps.
    4) You’ve got cleavage! Wear your favorite fashions with a bra from The Little Bra Company.

  • 10 Ways to Recycle Your Bras

    Hey TLBC fans!

Here, at The Little Bra Company, we do our best to be “green.” We use energy-efficient light bulbs, we recycle and reuse recycled paper, we recycle bottles and cans, and now we’ve come up with a list of 10 fun and creative ways you all can recycle your old or unworn bras.

    1) Make a bustier. Cover the bra with sequins or rhinestones for a new, sexy look.
    2) Use the cups as knee pad while gardening.
    3) Sew your bra into a camisole.
    4) Dress a scarecrow.
    5) Make it a piece of art. Place your bra in a glass frame and use it as wall décor.
    6) Use the cups to wrap fragile, round things, such as glass Christmas ornaments.
    7) Remove the hooks and use them as extenders for other bras.
8 ) Sew the padding into a baby’s hat to make it softer and warmer.
    9) Use it as a dust mask while cleaning the house.
    10) Make a bra purse.

Now we want to hear from the fans. Can you think of any creative ways you can recycle your old or unused bras?

And stay tuned for our instructional post on how to make a one-of-a-kind bra purse!

Check out “The Painted Bra Art Project” on facebook. You can view photographs of artwork and learn how to participate. Who knows, maybe you will find a piece used by an artist’s petite TLBC bra! :)
