My tips are to wait until your milk has come & and somewhat stiablized, so about 7-10 days after birth. I just used the stretchy nursing "sleep" bras until then and they worked fine. Also, go to a good maternity store or nursing boutique and get measured/fitted by a professional. I went to Mimi Maternity (which I think is now called A Pea in the Pod).Don't be cheap you get what you pay for. You don't want a cheap, scratchy bra that is difficult to operate the nursing openings.And most importantly, DON'T put your nursing bras in the dryer. My bras were great until my husband put one in the dryer and it became noticeably different than the other ones. (scratchy, shrunk, etc.)References :
